Victorious
(Written By: Miranda Dodson) Victorious is a celebratory anthem proclaiming Christ’s victory over sin, death and evil. It also focuses on the “already/not-yet” that we currently live in—the already of Christ’s defeat of evil and the not yet of his victorious bounty of new creation. Victorious also looks forward to the consummation of his renewing work when he returns to reign for all of eternity.

THEOLOGY
King Rise
(Written by: Miranda Dodson & Jonathan Dodson) King Rise is a tribute to the resurrected Christ, the king of Glory. It reminds us what his resurrection has accomplished while also pointing forward to what he will complete in his return. It is a heart-thrilling vision of risen Lord.
We Are Waiting
(Written by: Miranda Dodson) We Are Waiting focuses on the incarnation of Jesus and its significance for the whole Christ story. It reminds the church that, like the people of Israel who were waiting for the promised Messiah, we too are waiting for his second coming and reign as King of all creation.
Apostles Creed
(Arranged & Music by: Miranda Dodson) Apostles Creed is an attempt to bring a sing-able melody and corporate unity to a creed that most of the Christian world professes. The aim is to remind the church of their belief in the triune God and his work by collectively proclaiming it in song. I tried to stay as close to the original Creed as possible while taking a few liberties for the purposes of congregational worship. For instance “I believe…” I changed to “We believe…” in order to unite the Church in these common beliefs.
Divine Love
(Written by: Miranda Dodson & Jonathan Dodson) Divine Love attempts to capture the unique yet complementary persons of the Trinity. Saint Augustine describes the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as “Lover,” “Beloved,” and “Love.” This depiction is meaningful to us and Miranda thought it could be very compelling in a song. Aware that popular notions of love that are often shallow and weak, we wanted to show that God’s love is a result of his greatness, and when truly encountered compels us to join his mission.
