IT'S MERRY CHRISTMAS TIME (COMING NOV 19, 2019)

Miranda Dodson's It's Merry Christmas Time revives the tired holiday playlists and is sure to please the crowd. From an effortlessly cool rock version of Lo How A Rose E'er Blooming to the artistically controlled O Holy Night - Dodson provides a fresh soundtrack that is the welcomed company of your favorite Christmas classics. The title track is anchored in the patient backbeat of Rick Richards (Ray Wylie Hubbard) and pocket groove of George Reiff - the track is driven forward by ukulele, soaring vocals, and bouncing horns --- ALL about nostalgia, this track harnesses the qualities of our beloved classics with a modern sensibility.

It's Merry Christmas Time began in 2013 as a digitally released 4-song Christmas EP Produced by Robert Harrison (cotton mather). This holiday nod ended up being so much fun that it became a 6 year-long annual tradition, creating a truly remarkable Christmas collection. In early 2019 Dodson added the final two tracks: a smoky jazz room rendition of Let it Snow and a final original, Let There Be Light - a Christmas "protest" that invites the listener to join the light shining movement.... a perfect ending to this 12-song holiday sonic feast.

SHALOM (2018)

“Shalom” is from the root word shalam, which means, “to be safe in mind, body, or estate.” It speaks of completeness, fullness, or a type of wholeness that encourages you to give back — to generously re-pay something in some way.

I wrote this song during a season of personal trial clinging to its truth and experiencing its Joy. In seasons of trial and in seasons of peace... I hope that this song encourages you to be the light... to fight for truth and goodness.... to give and receive Shalom.

Pay what you can afford.... and share the Shalom with your friends :)
